Recently, AQSIQ has issued Import Risk Alert Notification on Some 2006, 2007, 2008 model Chevrolet Captiva Off-road Vehicles produced by GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co. (hereinafter referred to as GM Daewoo).Due to the ineffective manufacturing quality system, the driver may not turn freely. At present, there are 2065 Chevrolet Captiva Off-road Vehicles (produced by GM Daewoo) in mainland China.

In order to protect consumer safety, according to Law of The People's Republic of China on Import and Export Commodity Inspection and its implementing rules and the Administration Regulation on Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Risk Rapid Alert and Quick Response, AQSIQ issues Import Risk Alert Notification and the following items:

First, owners of 2006, 2007 and 2008 model Chevrolet Captiva off-road Vehicles should stop using them immediately and contact distributors authorized by Chrysler for arrangement of vehicle examination and adjustment to eliminate safety risks.

Second, entry-exit inspection and quarantine authorities at ports of importing vehicles shall suspend the import of Chevrolet Captiva Vehicles produced by GM Daewoo, and examine importing vehicles produced by GM Daewoo one by one.

Third, Certification Authorities shall make treatment on CCC Certificates of related vehicle model produced by GM Daewoo according to related laws and regulations.
