Announcement No.140, 2009 of AQSIQ on appointing CCIC South  America S.R.L. and the other two companies as the pre-shipment inspection institutions for the import of waste materials

According to the regulations of supervision and administration on inspection and quarantine of imported solid waste to be used as raw materials (order No.119 of AQSIQ), the Measures on the Administration Of Accreditation Of Pre-Shipment Inspection Institutions For The Import Of Waste Materials(for trial implementation), after evaluation by AQSIQ, here appoint CCIC South American S.R.L., CCIC India Private Limited, China Certification & Inspection Group Korea CO. LTD. as the pre-shipment inspection institutions for the import of waste materials, the announcement is as follows:

1. From January 1, 2010 on, CCIC South American S.R.L., CCIC India Private Limited and China Certification & Inspection Group Korea CO. LTD. will assume the pre-shipment inspection for waste materials exporting to China from countries of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Korea. JCIC (Japan China Commodity Inspection Company Ltd.) will not assume the pre-shipment inspection for waste materials exporting to China from Korea.

2. CCIC South American S.R.L., CCIC India Private Limited and China Certification & Inspection Group Korea CO. LTD. shall, in strict accordance with provisions of environmental protection control standard for imported solid waste to be used as raw materials (GB16487), carry out pre-shipment inspection of waste materials exporting to China from countries of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Korea.

3. Inspection and quarantine authorities in various ports shall accept the application for inspection with the inspection certificate issued by the above-mentioned three companies for waste materials exporting to China whose loading or shipment is located in countries of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Korea.

4. The above-mentioned three companies shall carry out the relevant inspection according to stipulations of Supervision and Administration on Inspection and Quarantine of Imported Solid Waste To Be Used As Raw Materials, the Measures on the Administration of Accreditation of Pre-Shipment Inspection Institutions for the Import of Waste Materials and the Notice of Specifying the Work Of The Pre-Shipment Inspection For the Import of Waste Materials.
