AQSIQ Approves the Implication of Geographical Mark Protection Product to Shampagne

 AQSIQ Announcement No. 51, 2013  

Recomended  by the French Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fishery, Rural Affairs and Land Management and with the applicatioin of the French Champagne Sectoral Committee for registration of Champagne for Geographical Mark Protection Product in the People's Republic of China, following an experts' technical examination and approvement  organized by AQSIQ according to the "Provisions on protection of geographical mark product" and their related rules, it is hereby approved that the geographical mark protection product shall be applied to the product of Champagne from this day on within the territory of the People's Republic of China. Attached is the requirements on quality of Champagne.

由法国农业、食品、渔业、农村事务及土地整治部推荐，法国香槟酒行业委员会提出的香槟在中华人民共和国境内注册地理标志保护产品的申请，经国家质检总局按照《地理标志产品保护规定》及相关规则要求，组织专家技术审查合格，现批准自即日起在中华人民共和国境内对香槟（Champagne）实施地理标志产品保护。
